On Monday, June 21, 2010 at 2 p.m. ground was broken on the new Showplace Cinemas movie theater that is being built in Henderson. The theater will be located on Walker Drive next to the Audubon Village Shopping Center. It will open with eight theaters, all stadium seating, and be expandable to a full twelve theaters. The goal for its opening is around Thanksgiving of this year.
